I'm trying to find some doves to buy, but no pet stores in my area carry them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Tom, where are you from? There may be a breeder or two around you that you can either visit and pick up some doves, or have them delivered to you..

Tom, where are you located? right now shipping doves is a bit of a problem. There's an entire thread about this on the forum. We may be able to provide a source depending on your location that would help you.

Modesto Ca, it's about an hour and a half south of Sacramento.

Tom, try this web site. It lists breeders in California you could contact that might be able to help. Under key words, type in Doves and search. Breeder number 11 and 32 both have doves but some of the others may be good sources as well.

I would suggest locating a reputable dove breeder. I personally would not buy doves from a pet store. The ones I have seen a pet stores are expensive, and usually the workers did not really know much about caring for doves.
