Just wondered if ANYone from this forum is from the UK? I don't think I have seen anyone yet. I was wondering because I am after joining a magic club, but they are all too far for me to travel, and wanted to know if there were any which where closer (I am in Hull),
Thanks, Paul

Sorry, Paul, I didn't do much magic then - I can barely remember the one place.
You should glean much from the HMC, though, and I'm sure there's still plenty of venues to ply your skills... Colin |

Wayman just checked out your site, some great links, and the linking rubber bands? i have heard of that, but the only effect i have ever done with rubber bands is of course CMH.

Hi Paul,
I too am from Hull And I'm the one responsible for the HMC site (thanks for the plug Leigh!) which will soon undergo another re-design so look out for that. If you are interested in joining use the contact link on the site and get in touch with our Secretary, any more questions PM me. I can say we have close to 70 members and have some awesome lecturers that visit us. As for Magic shops, there is Dinsdales, and a couple of Fancy Dress shops that sell a little bit of Magic e.g. Masquerade on Holderness Road is run by a Magician. I just generally order all my magic online <g>. Rich. |

Is there anybody there? YYYYYYES! You are going to meet a slim dark haired maiden who will hold your digital camera for you instead of you having to do it yourself with outstretched arms!! Greetings from Ace Parties in Cheshire. Actually Paul it seems that Brits. dominate almost every English speaking board in the world - we must be coming a nation of internet geeks! If I were you I'd send off for Cooper Magic catalogue from Blackpool.

Especially magic boards. Am I the only American who notices that most magic sites (at least the good ones) are based out of the UK. Plus most demo videos available online are performed by a magician with a British accent. It doesn't really bother me, but it is kinda weird.
On the other hand, you have different fingers.
