I bought a gold Rolex from a street vendor on Canal street in lower Manhattan for $20. The nice Chinese man who sold it to me assured me that it was the real thing.

I like to wear this one, but it needs a new battery.

I may be wrong, but I tend to think if someone is wearing a Rolex,it may give out the wrong signal, people tend to look at them thinking they must be `loaded`.
I wear my favourite watch that I bought in the Caribbean, for less than half the price in the UK.

This is the one I picked up on a trip to Zürich. Simple, elegant design.

I have 4 watches..

an Emporio Armani designer watch, a Hugo Boss Designer watch, a Tissit v8 watch, and a TagHeuer Carrera (real) Smile

I just switch them. I think watches are a must for men as part of their attire. It makes them look soo elegant and classy!

I agree that a good looking watch can look elegant and classy and is a must have accessorily.

I meant Tissot instead of Tissit btw Smile

Together with my nice Hugo Boss suit, nice derby shoes and nice scent I get compliments before I even have performed my first effect..
It really is that important to look the part in my humble opinion.

No one has mentioned Cartier? Striking watches without being a cliche.

But I think most people who are critical of this thread are missing the point. It's not about watches, it's about jewellery.

Some people wear expensive jewellery because they like it and some people wear it to look "the part" - and in both cases it will be obvious which one you are. That being said, most people won't even care enough to wonder.

I have a Tissot pocket watch. It really gets noticed everytime I check the time.

Also, if you're a good pick-pocket, you could probably wear whatever watch your spectator was wearing Smile

I have over 12 watches. Watch collecting is another hobby of mine. From vintage watches to modern high end watches including 4 Rolex watches, 4 Omega, 1 Brietling, 1 Panerai and other lesser known brands. I can tell you that the spectators do not notice what watches you wear. They will notice that you dress nice and is well groomed. I tend to wear nice stuff when performing because to me a magician should not dress poorly.

I have a Tissot as well, but it's a bit to bulky and sporty to wear performing.

You must be loaded to have so many expensive Swiss watches.

Newest watch: Tissot Visodate. Classy, elegant and not too sporty. Looks very good!

Cartier Tank Francaise. It's classy, and will always look modern: http://www.cartier.com/collections/watch......se-watch
Mine is 10 year old and still looks great. It's automatic so will last for years.

I would focus more on the look rather than the brand. I get more compliments from a $300 Swiss model than I have ever with any of my much more expensive models
