Does anyone know the price of a microchip?

Silly guys - he means the RFID microchip you have to get implanted at the base of your brain, without which you will not be able to buy and sell after January 1.
Explains all those people banging their heads on the credit-card reader at Wal-Mart. The price is just $ 6.66 |

What do you want if for?
Radio shack sells a FM reciever chip for under $10.00 and for a few bucks more you can put together an FM radio that will fit into an empty pack of chewing gum. If you just want a chip to look at, tear apart an old computer or any device with an EPROM chip and you can see the actual circuit under magnifacation. Iven

The prices range from pennies to hundreds of dollars, it is like asking:
"Does anyone know the price of a painting?" or "Does anyone know the price of an animal?" |

Ive tried google but no use.
Im reading a book called visions by Michio Kaku. He helped with the discovery of the string theory and is one of the smartest men on the planet. In his book there is a prediction about the price of microchips droping to 4cents in 2005 and 1 penny in 2010. I just wanted to find if this was correct.

According to this: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2003/06/27/rfid_chips_are_here/
RFID chips are about fifty cents and dropping. That's ONE KIND of chip. Calculators are made from chips and are sometimes given away with batteries so the price has to be very low now.

Or, as they say in the biz, the first copy of any chip is $1,000,000.00. The second and every one thereafter are 59c.
