I just learned the normal 4 card/4 coin matrix, and wondering if someone makes all the coins go back to their original corners after being in the lower right corner. I'm almost positive I've seen some one do this before.
Thanks, Justin p.s. If you're wondering, I learned it off of Bill Malone's tapes. |

Paul Harris' routine called Giant killer Coins has the coins appear in their original corners. It is an awesome routine!

Is it in a book, video, packet? Does it involve pretty much the same moves to get them in the lower right corner in the first place?

Yep. It is a bit different actually, but very neat!!! It is in Volume 1 of his Art of Astonishment series of books.

Great! Thanks for the info. I've found that this is a very fun trick to perform.

Paul Harris' Giant Killer Coin routine is just a normal 2 card matrix where all 4 coins only gather together under one card because of the Giant Killer Coin. There isnt a backfire or reverse. It is in Paul Harris' book Art of Astonishment Vol. 1 If you want either Backfire Matrix or Reverse Matrix routines I suggest going to David Neighbors (the Coinjurer). He has some aswome routines, 4 cards, 2 cards, 1 card, no cards, reverse, backfire, changes. here are some threads about backfires and reverse matrix http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......;forum=3 http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......;forum=3

No... they don't. You're searching for a backfire or reverse Justin. I do several from Dean Dill, Shoot Ogawa and Myself. I believe Paul Gertner was the original person who came up with the reverse matrix.

I just looked in my AOA book page 79-82 and I dont see a Reverse Step Twelve says "Lift up the card on the left revealing 4 coins" and then explaining the production of the Giant Killer coin

Get Michael Rubenstein's set of videos. He shows a great backfire routine, among other great stuff. As stated above, David Neighbors has a great routine on his tape.

David Regal has a really cool matrix in Close Up And Personal that uses four quarters and four cards. Three of the four go to a single corner, and when you presumably begin to do the fourth, they are instantly back to their original places.
My favorite thing about this routine is that there are neither gaffs, nor extras (I am too lazy to negotiate shell and things). It's a pure swindle. The routine is called "Four Plus Four," Page 147 of Close Up and Personal. Cheers, Ron |

A very good backfire exists in John Bannons "Impossibilia".
It's by Bob Kohler and is called "Return to Spender"

Paul Gertner has a great Reverse Matrix using a shell. It's on one of his Steel & Silver videos and probably also in his book.

Regal Fan, I don't see it either, but if it exists I would love to see it!

Michael Ammar has a good reverse matrix in his book, " Magic of Michael Ammar".
Also, Dean Dill offers a backfire routine on one of his videos. I think Coin Magic 2000.

I have seen him do it. It is awesome. No gaffs or gimmicks, just the real work. Not published to the best of my knowledge, but there are some videos floating around... and, I suspect, more to come.

Gertner's was the first with a backfire but since the effect can be done very convincingly with just 4 coins, Gertner's routine using 5 coins and a shell really isn't worth doing in my opinion.
