Does anybody know any new things to do with a hooked coin?

Check Bobo's. His book is actually the only place I have ever seen use of a hooked coin.

Thanks, I'll do that.
I didn't even think of doing that. |

I read a discription on how to make a hooked Penny with a cork, needle, and a hammer, but no uses other than Bobos.

I don't know where you an still find this, but there's a pamphlet by Bill Spooner called "Here's 'Hoo' on Coins" that is he only printed source I know for the real work on Hook coins.
Try H&R books. Or Rocco might know, since he used to do this stuff on stage. The idea is to use the "hoo" as Spooner calls it, as a "standing lap". Applied to some Slydini-esque strategies, provided in the book, miracles are possible with this coin.

You might consider using a magnetic coin and carrying a thin sheet of metal in your pocket or wallet.
Then you can Hook the coin onto your pocket (or pant leg or whereever) and not have to worry about tearing your clothing or stabbing yourself. |

I was fortunate to have Gene Gordon demonstrate the "Hoo Key" at his magic shop in Buffalo, NY. The key is based on the Hoo coin. I had no clue where it went, and when he reproduced it, I bought it, and still have it after 30 years. I also went to a lecture featuring Spooner, and he is the guru of the Hoo. It's a bold move, but he proved it works great.

I pulled some change, including the gaff, from my pocket and a Canadian quarter was stuck to the half! Ever since then I've used steel-core. You can also just use Canadian coins!

There is an old clip of Fred Kaps doing coinsleights. In one of it he does a total vanish with a coin. It is a hooked coin, hooked to the back of his hand (skin!).
It is the only thing I've ever actually seen with a hoo coin.
