I recently purchased a PK Ring for a specific effect. Not wanting to limit myself, would someone recommend a good resource of a book and/or DVD of effect ideas using a PK Ring?

Get Richard Osterlinds PK Pen use it with the PK ring. That is about all I use it for.

Has anybody bought the mag card dvd yet that goes with this? I was wondering how good the haunted deck was thx

Are any of these rings strong enough to serve as a sort of poor man's metal detector for a dangerous monte type effect?

Not still... I hope of being able to perform something, (initially for my son, my personal "crush dummy test"), during the Xmas.

I have begun to try THE WIZ… at the first glance I was really impressed by this little "thing" but... after to have seen the dvd and tried to execute some moves my enthusiasm is diminished. I think it isn't practical and the handling is very difficult (at least for me).

After reseaching The Wiz through several threads at The Café, it doesn't appear to be the kind of "device" I would use in real world performance.

In fact, I initially placed my order for The Wiz, then after further research, I canceled it within the hour with the good people at Circle City Magic. (They provide great cutomer service!)

PK revolution has nothing to do with magnets.
PK stands for "psychokinesis" the ability to move objects with your mind.

PK is naming the effect, not the gimmick.

However, PK revolution is an excellent book that has several incredible metal bending effects. Well worth the money.
