As a parrot owner, I'd have to go with the Phororhacos skull...what a hit that would be at a bird show!
OK, Doug, now you've got us interested. That has got to be a fairly large ding we are talking about here... Yours, Paul |

One of my favorites and it should be yours is The Giant Man Eating Jungle Rat Skull! What nostalgic sideshow buff wouldn't crave one of these!!! I ordered mine to go right next to my Smilodon.
Doc...some are a fairly large ding of they are a fairly large piece. Whales and Elephants don't come cheap...but your bird? Nah...piece of cake. And the Giant Man Eating Rat? I'll make special deals on that just because everybody should have one! You can still make money with the darn thing! whoo hoo! I also put new info up there about showing these things and it will continue to expand (I hope). There is a lot available but I'm only interested in the pieces that can have a story attached and work in a show. As a kid I cut MOST of High School and spent the time in the NY Museum Of Natural History...so am I stoked?

Doug, we used to have a blue front green Amazon parrot. We also pet sit for some clients who have large birds. Most large parrots go anywhere from $1500 to $3000, so I don't know why you think they're cheap. Then after you shell out a couple grand for one, count on losing another grand or two for caging, toys, food, lamps, heaters, maybe you might bave to get another $2000 parrot to keep the other one company (unless you want the equivalent of a screaming monkey without the poo throwing). Anyway, I would definitely prefer a giant man eating rat skull.

Doug,
You're killing me here. I'm still trying to get organized for my 1 Zibit's grand entrance and now you spring the Smilodaon and the Mammoth on me? C'mon! Amazing stuff, as always...

Jamie...actually I was 'springing' the less expensive pieces which could be for 'outside' the show to attract attention...those that you mention are for 'goal setting' purposes and just for fun...unless there is a Road Side Attraction in your future...
By the end of the day..he 'skinny' will be all laid out and the proper direction set for the page. Thanks Doug

OK. The basic information is completed and online and will lay out just how these things can be used in your Higley type show. Read the page please and especially the comments associated with the Giant Jungle Rat piece. To get this off and running, I will offer very special prices on this piece this week! eMail me if interested.
Thanks Doug

Well then, as I recommend, turn them from Toys to Tools and get some income coming in her general direction. You of all people with that character of yours could do really well with the How-To idea up there. They wouldn't dare NOT give you a buck to see the Sea Critter! Aside from the Dark Museum performance pieces, everything else I do is geared for you to make immediate direct income and pay for themselves right away unlike magic tricks which are part of the aggregate income of an act over time. I picture you with a Mer Creature in a Chest just begging to get peeked at for the exchange of some Silver.

I am very tempted to order a jungle rat head, looks really cool and is in my price range.
But I am not sure it would go with my Sea theme. I am sure I will find something on your site later that will be just as tempting. :) |

Sea theme? There isn't a ship on the planet EVER that hasn't had an infestation of rats at one point or another! Ships and Rats and Islands just seem to go hand in hand to me.

There is a historical account that on one trip a "spanish crew" caught over 4000 (yep you saw that right) Rats....
The living conditions onboard ships of sail was deplorable at best... Between the dampness, the sickness, poor diet( ie vitamin deficient leading to scurvy) and the dangerous working conditions in heavy weather, the life of a seaman was anything but pleasant... ( It also explains why so many crossed over the line, went on the account and joined the Brethren of the coast). As an aside, historical records put the best estimate of a Pirates lifespan after crossing over at 27 months... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of the brethren ended up in what's now Belize, harvesting lumber.
I had an ancestor who was one, and turned it into a very profitable warehousing enterprise. I wish I owned the real estate now, that he owned then, a chunk of Stamford CT. He disappeared in 1702 (probably into a French prison) and his wife took over the business.
