I have the original version and I must say it is one of my favorites.

How does the deluxe version differ?

I have been using the copentro (original version) for about fourteen years (got it as a wedding present) and dont see how it can be improved. I too am curious about what is differant.

daytonamagic.com was the only place I could find that sold both versions. But they both seem exactly alike. Smile

The deluxe version uses a rich walnut base while the non-deluxe uses what they call a "gleaming furniature finish"...that's all. The price difference is only $30. Almost no one carries the non-deluxe cause what's the point in carrying two versions when the difference is only $30.

I have a vintage Jack Hughes Copenetro which he called "Visible Coins to Glass" (Kline named his version Copenetro)...very cool!

There is definitely a difference in the quality of a true original Copenetro by Bob Kline versus the later "deluxe" models currently available. Check out my review on this effect on Andy Martin's website:

I bought my 1950's Copenetro from Kenna Thompson recently and it's a beauty.

Kenna says the original were made in cherry wood and after getting the piece the craftsmanship is superior to the present models. Well worth the search and asking price.
