This is a marketed item from the 80's, sold through Tannens. It allows you to ditch a coin or small object standing up, without a topit. I played with it yrs ago. It isn't practical for everyone, but Fred made great use of it in his work. There is a non gaff version in my COINvention notes, and I am sure others have come up with the same idea.
S.E.M. (The Sun, the Moon, and the Earth) is a sun and moon routine unlike any other. Limited to 100 sets, here is the promo:

Teejay...
In Europe they've used a belly servante for years. Fred's is very much in the concept of theirs...however theirs is bigger and wider...and generally easier to use. For some they may be too big. The thinner you are the easier they are to use. Cheers, Bob Fitch "Making Magicians Magical"

If you get your hands on one, it is worth playing around with to see if it suits you. I purchased mine back in '84 or there about. It will allow you to vanish or ditch an extra coin without going to your pocket. No jacket or sleeves required. I saw Fred work with it in Tannens, and it looks like real magic in his hands. I don't use it in a strolling situation with people standing close for certain reasons, but it has worked well as a utility devise in table hopping settings.

I bought one at tannens when I was a kid back in 99 and also remember fred working it over at rubens and at tannens.
Hope fred is still around. He was a great coin worker and magician. |
