What about Juliana Chen. She is a FISM winner with very elegant magic.

Have you seen Juliena live? She is more of a juggler then a magician. there is no deception. All is visible from all angles.

I would go with Fred Kaps, and Cardini.

A couple have mentioned Lance Burton. Lance is of course very good don't get me wrong but I don't think he is as good as Kaps or Cardini. That is just My opinion and your milleage may very.

My favourites are Cardini, Jeff McBride, Topas, Lance Burton, Peter Marvey, Jason Latimer and Takamitsu Uchida (the most incredible Jumbo card manip ive ever seen). Plus, someone who is my personal favourite manipulator, Eun Gyeol Lee. His act is incredible.

I really admire Topas for the fact that he has taken manipulative magic to a different level of creativity. It is not the same old thing you see all the time. He has really thought out that manipulative magic goes far beyond just the objects you are manipulating but goes into a realm of storytelling and adding things to your manipulative act or routine to make it something totally new and unique.

In this way, manipulative magic in his hands, is so fresh and it intrigues me. He does not look inward to magic to find his ideas as I talked to him at a convention a while back. I think by looking inwards too much, it gets us repeating things a lot. We tend to repeat what we see and what we like and that only ends up in creating manipulative clones.

When I saw Topas do his full show a few years back at the SAM National Convention, I can safely say that it ranked up there in my top 2 shows of all time that I have ever personally seen. To me it was just that impressive, amazing and creative.

Hey Kyle,

I was at the same show as you were and I must agree with everything you say about Topas. Topas is amazing and has an excellent show. It's also one of my favourite shows I have seen.

I have seen so many shows over the years but that show indeed ranked up in my top 5 of all time. It was just amazing and creative and fun from the minute it started till the finale. It really took my breathe away and I just really enjoyed it more then a lot of shows I have seen. It was great seing such creativity at work. Glad you got to see it as well.
