Try http://www.onewaystreet.com. They sell puppet patterns also.
For a stage, how about use some PVC plumbing pipe plus fabric to cover it. Regards, Budi Ha Ha |

If I am not mistaken, the PVC illusion books sold at magicnook.com (i think) has a plan to build a pupper stage or theater. Check there!

For cheap stages, I use several kind of stages, some of it are:
a. 2 chair, a pole, some rope and fabric. b. 2 tables, then stack it together with top tables in front. c. a table, a cardboard box and fabric. d. 4 base of rolling chairs, 7 PVC pipe, 4 bolt and fabric. e. PVC pipes plus fabric. f. 3 piece plywoods plus 6 hinges. Regards, Budi Ha Ha |

http://www.larocksmagic.com has some puppets for about $30. I haven't tried them but I was thinking of getting one as my first puppet.
