The New Year is February 18th - still a long way off.

And some of us don't celebrate it until the Vernal Equinox rolls around (this year, it falls on March 20th)...

You're all too late. The Year began on the Feast of Yule, which started on December 22nd this year. I've been drunk for days. Happy Noo Year!

Hours may change. Minutes, months. The first wand was moon counter. The exchange for its amber came later. How can we expect to have a solar calendar stay in one place now? Northern Lights Fry Nanobots.
Lucia, have you had puppies yet? Isso, how's Solara's Tony Spell progressing? Corona |

Actually, when you think about it, each day is the anniversary of the same day a year earlier. Calendars are arbitrary. This means two things:
1. Every day is a new year, anniversarily speaking. This gives us an excuse to drink every day. 2. If #1 is true, then every day a new year begins. Which means every day a year has passed. Which means that a day is the same as a year. Or even a decade. Heck, every day a new millenium begins, and thus a day is a millenium. Time itself disappears! Which gives us an excuse to drink every day. 3. There is no third point. I only promised two. So quit reading. Start drinking. Happy new year to people of all beliefs! Unless you don't think it's a new year. Forget it. Now you know why I'm unhinged. Jeff Goettingen |

Last New Years Eve I was going home after a party. I made a left turn off of the highway, and some idiot stepped on my hand.
