Today looked DVD disk Dani Lary.
It executes illusion: On a stage there is a column, to a column adhere Lary by means of a roll of a black oilcloth, covering its body completely. Then for an instant close a screen together with its assistant. The screen is opened also by them have exchanged places. Oilcloth break off and there is an assistant. How this illusion refers to? Who else executes it? THANKS! |

I may be wrong but I believe Dani Lary creates a lot of his own illusions. I don't believe I have ever seen this effect before so perhaps it is an illusion Dani Lary created.

The illusion you saw is Dani Lary's version of classical Asistant's Revenge illusion with clingfilm. When I first saw his version I was so thrilled and amazed. I made some inquiries on this illusion and as far as I got to know it is his creation and it's not commercialy available. Assistant's Revenge was always a nice illusion to perform and if performed quickly enough it is very visual and stunning.
In Dani Lary's version, instead of locking the magician with bars with padlocks or tying her with rope threaded through the frame, he is wrapped in clingfilm from head to toe. The clingfilm also ties him tightly to the vertical steel bar. There's no way he could mve an inch nor escape from the steel bar. The assistant closes the curtain all around the tied up Dani Lary and instantly he opens the curtain to reveal his assistant all wrapped up in clingfilm. A great classical illusion performed in a completely new way. |

Sorry I can´t help you very much: I haven´t seen many of his illusions. He shows up often in france television. The broadcast is named "le plus grand cabaret du monde". I saw the effect "L'ARAIGNEE", where he disappears and than appears in a big technical animated spider. Here I think he is the creator. At least I did never see and read of another one. I also saw the buzz saw (on his site: "SCIE CIRCULAIRE") and some other illusions, where he didn´t change anything to the original. I just remember also a metamorphosis of him with water inside the glassbox as variation.
So sorry - can´t help more. |
