I'm thinking it might be a great $1.50 alternative to a a $30 can of Remount.
Going to pick up a stick and will report back. officedepot.com Posted: Jan 9, 2007 9:14pm Bought it. Works PERFECT. Score for everyone! |

This is highly used by Richard Sanders in some of his routines. I don't want to tip which one(s) and give away his secrets but he has some great tips and moves that can be done with this.... At a recent lecture in Philadelphia, he was giving a stick of it away with certain purchases. Definitly worth checking out........ JPV

So he does'nt use the RE-Mount anymore?
That is actually what I was looking for but could'nt find it after watching his video. This stuff seems to work just as well! Only down side is you cant exactly hand the spectator the cards. |

I've used it with carbon paper, and it's great. Allows me to re-use the carbon paper by neatly lifting it up and placing somewhere else. No mess.

This seems to be a much better solution than using 3M Remount Spray. The spray works great, but it can be kind of messy if you're not careful. And, apparently, it's no longer available anyway.
Thanks for the link. Robert Posted: Feb 13, 2007 3:36pm I ordered a 3M Scotch Restickable Glue Stick from officedepot.com two days ago and it arrived today. This seems to be much better than the spray. Just the right amount of tackiness. No "pop" when the cards are separated. Clean - no mess. Not totally invisible, but if applied to a face card or the back of a card, for example, it's next to impossible to see. Robert |

But it will transfer some to the adjoining card.

I bought Avery brand Glue Stick at Office Max, and it is tremendous. No "pop", as Robert said.
Ken, I find that it does not transfer to the adjoining card. Mark

Cool ideas...thanks..I have not heard of the glue stick stuff ? But, I guess I should finish my cans of spray first
I would assume that the spray still gives a more even application of the glue...so, I guess there are uses for both products.

Actually, it does transfer a little bit, at first, but just blot the excess after applying it and you are good to go.
The Avery glue stick smells nice (!) in the container, but gives off a fairly unpleasant odor when I applied it to my well-broken in Tally Ho's. Will try on newer cards. I'll try Elmer's brand next, if the difference is not in the cards. Couldn't find Scotch brand, yet. Mark

One key factor in using this Glue Stic is to make sure you allow it to dry completely (3-5 minutes) before using it. If it is dry, it will not transfer to another card. I experimented with several brands, and found the AVERY brand to work the best. Matt

Can this be removed from the cards once it has been applied and allowed to dry?

YES...Avery works best. Ive been using this for a few months.
My only question to those of you Supercarders is how do you store your cards? Do you just pop them all back into the box until its time to perform? What do you do with the gaffed cards? Put them together? |

I always keep them together, mostly to prevent lint from building up on the cards.

The 3M product is great! However, I had to order online as the Office Depot location here did not carry it. But as Robert M. pointed out, it arrived within a couple days.

If you have a Michaels arts and crafts sore near you, they have a large variety of repositional glues, I also have seen the glue stic in Kinkos, CVS and Walgreens, Meijers, Albertsons. Try arts and crafts stores, as that is the purpose of this glue.

I went to Office Depot for this as well but they did not carry it in the store. They did have an Elmer's glue version of the same thing though. It is a little larger stick but it works great for me and no shipping costs for an under $2 product.

SO does it matter, or is the Avery better than the 3M brand?? What are the differences? Could this be used for Tommy Wonder's Tamed Card in place of the wax?? Thanks
