I am looking for information on the Harry Houdini library collection that was donated to The Library of Congress. Specifically the listing of the books. I have been on thier web site and the most I can come up with is some photo's. I am not looking for anything in particular. It started out just reading about the man and now it has gotten out of hand haha, I am sure some of you can relate. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
Sources I have tried some of these sources: http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/vshtml/vshdini.html http://www.magictricks.com/houdini/links.htm http://www.houdinitribute.com/houdini.html http://members.tripod.com/~Houdinez/houdini.html http://houdinimuseum.org/ And of course the local library.

I understand that much of the Houdini material is near impossible to get to unless you have credentials (published author, historian, celebrity, etc.).
You might email the Library and see if they have some sort of outreach program that could help you get information on what's in the collection. |

I did send them a letter and waiting on a response. It is my understanding that there are approx 5000 books that he sent. I also have heard that you can not gain access without having credentials as well.
