I would say the answer to your question is a matter of opinion. As for sources for bending metal, check out Banachek, Osterlind, Bavli. These sources should give you a multitude of bends to which you then can make the decision which is the best in your opinion.

Prepare yourself to be inundated with replies stating similar opinions - there is no "best method", only one that is best for you. You can only find this by using different methods and seeing which one you feel most comfortable performing.

If you would like recommendations for ungimmicked cutlery bends, Banachek's Psychokinetic Silverware may be a good place to start. Kuffs' Metal Bending... and Bavli's Bending Minds... series are good sources of information as well. There are plenty of other products on the subject too - try running a search here and have a look at what is returned.

The best??????
Look in the Osterlind and Banachek DVD´s!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every method has advantages, however, also disadvantages.

I think one should choose some knows around best from which fits to situation.

I like the Osterlind version, just like the Banachek version.
The DVD GET BEND is also not bad.

It is ok Rosemary, he is one of those who would rather give me a hard time. Don't worry, I'm use to it.

Mike,

It is not a welcome to the magic club mentality here.
If I might be so blunt to state the truth.

I personaly take offence to you thinking he is giving you a hard time becouse he states the truth.
(C'mon man think a little deaper)

That aint the deal.

And you thinking such BS only shows you are not yet ready or able to be a mentalist.

As to Rosemary you only make my point.

Buy Patrick's books and learn from him. His ideas are worth their weight in gold. Also, he gives a clue to his spoon bending technique - read Tarbell and all the original texts, take time to think and develop material, grow as a human being, experiment and experiment again after you reflect - and you get your own spoon bend with much more than just the spoon bend.

Heck, methods are easy enough - its the psychological nuances that is the true art.

As for the best spoon bending method - maybe this post will end up moving the thread to the inner thoughts - you take both hands and bend it using leverage. The rest is art.

Rosemary, if you wonder why things are odd around here - just remember the art of mentalism is that what appears to be is not often really what it truly is....

The best answer yet. It may take years to find one then bam it hits you, this is the best and gets the best reactions. All of the names above have fine teachings.

The best method is to bend silverware without realizing that you are using any particular method to bend it. You are able to just bend it. You just do Smile

I agree, to be one with the cutlery......lol Smile

I know it sounds kind of funny, but it's absolutely true.

Very nicely put, Phil!
