Jeff has some amazing information to share with anyone through his school and the master classes. I have not personally been to a master class but have talked with and discussed magic in great deal with Jeff over the years. He is a wealth of information and anyone can and should learn a lot on how to better their magic through what Jeff has to offer.

Just keep in mind that you will only get out of it what you put into it. Go knowing that you are there to learn, take feedback well and then apply what they are telling you directly to your magic. If you are not willing to do this, then all the schooling in the world will not make you a better performer.

Make sure you perform something, also. The experience is great by itself, but you get so much more out of it if you present a work in progress.

I doubt you guys will be disapointed. Jeff is a truly dynamic teacher and his class teaches you a lot more than just magic. It's an experience that will bring you to deeper understandings of everything you do. I've known several students of his classes and they have all gotten far more than they paid for.

Just go with an open mind so that you can receive everything that is talked about and go over. the information can really change you and your magic and how you go about it.

Have you attended the Master's Class? I looking forward to the extra time, shows and camaraderie. I'm traveling from NJ and wanted to do my 4 minute opener (silks, candle, canes, mult. candle, balls, etc) based on your advice that I've done for years, hoping to take bring my magic to another level, which requires tables, etc.

Does Jeff have tables for use or do you need to bring all your own gear? If you need music, just bring a disk or tape? Do you have opportunity daily to present work in progress? I was also hoping to present several close up effects to get advice on script and presentation. Is Jeff and Eugene readily available during work in progress sessions? Can we speak by phone in the future? I wanted to be prepared as Kyle suggested so I can get more than anticpated.

It would probably be easier to write Jeff and ask those questions.

I'll be attending with the expectation of receiving constructive advice and guidance in both my stage work and my close up. In particular, I am looking for advice on how to increase the strength of my close up work, increase my stage presence, and further develop my performing persona. In that latter category, it'll be really interesting to see what experienced, professional magicians see in my personality that I can draw upon and make distinctive.

For stage work, I'm going to present my guillotine routine. For stage manipulation, I'm going to perform my multiplying golf ball routine. And, for close up, I'll hopefully get some feedback on my cups and balls. For each of these routines, I've spent a considerable amount of time thinking out the logic and flow of each move, as well as the psychology of the various phases and the effect overall.

I'm hoping that I will be able to use the extensive thought process that I've already invested in these routines as a frame of reference for the advice and guidance I receive. Imagine the potential of taking several of your favorite effects and elevating them to a whole new level of entertainment!

The answer to all your questions is yes. However, normally during the critique sessions its only one routine, i.e. one stage routine or one close up routine. However, they are more than happy to take a look at other stuff, and people are constantly performing.
