That's exciting when you get a great response. What was the effect?

It was an effect in Mark Wilson's cyclopedia of magic called "four coin assembly".

Mark's Complete Course in Magic and Encyclopedia have a lot of tricks well adaptable to street magic. Always remember, only magicians think some tricks are lame because everybody does them, or they are beginner level. The public doesn't have the same opinion. You'd be surprised how few people in the public have ever seen any magic. Keep up the practice and performance Ethan! You are on ur way! That first performance is always the one you will remember, mine was for "uncle" Harry Blackstone, SR. and his encouragement has kept me in magic for over 50 years.

I have been doing "magic" for about 2 1/2 years, but this was my first "Hey would you like to see a magic trick?" where I implied kind of performance. Usually someone asks me, or I just sit back and do the trick and when I look up I see 5 people standing there watching me.

I don't understand where you have to somewhat slightly defend the Mark Wilson book, nobody dissed it on this thread and I didn't see anything at all where it may have mentioned or implied that magicians may think the stuff in Mr. Wilsons book is of no worth in regards to the way laymen see it...I'm confused, also some posts were edited and mine deleted...weird... maybe there IS a Twilight Zone.... johnny

That cups and balls trick I did for Uncle Harry was from a "Mark Wilson Magic Set" which Mark and Nani used to assemble in their Apt. in Dallas and marketed in a local Dallas Dept. Store. I assure you, I would never diss Mark.
