Is CoinOne a hard routine? I do have some knowledge of coin magic and really like that routine.

Hi joshlondon17, I love "CoinOne"! I think it is an excellent routine and very dynamic if done properly. Going by my personal experience with the routine I would say it isn't that difficult at all.
However, there is one move and its a move which I think makes the routine very explosive that takes some time to master. I can't tell you the move I am talking about, but to me it took about a month to get it right with regular practice. The move I speak of in my opinion is just a matter of getting the timing down and developing a knack for it. Otherwise it isn't too hard at all. I do totally recommend it, I think you will be very happy with your purchase.....

Do you use halves for this Fingers?
You see, I'm at the verge of ordering a custom coin set but I'm not sure if I should buy halves or morgans. Jim

For coin one, I suggest you use Eisenhower Dollars in the beginning. You will be dropping coins for a while. The Morgans are beautiful coins, but they do get dented easily. Homer once metioned that he does coin one with halves sometimes.
I have tried it with our Peso coin, which is the size of a quarter. They work fine, but it just looks more amazing with Dollar sized coins. Rannie

Hey Jim, I use Morgan dollars. I have both a custom half set and dollar set. I tried using halves, but believe it or not I think it is easier with the Morgans. The key move of the whole routine deals with momentum and that is easier accomplished with the Morgans in my opinion. I can do it with halves, but it is easier using dollars and I think much more dynamic.
One thing I will mention though is that if you decide to use dollar coins you must be more aware of your angles than with halves. It is not too much of a problem and the video gives you advice on how to protect your angles.....

Thanks guys! I think I'm going to buy it. I have 4 Morgan dollars, but will get Eisenhowers so they don't getdented up. Fingers, could you PM me with that one special move? Thanks!

Canadian toonies don't have a lot of weight, and are quite thin; I wouldn't use them for coinone.
They're not great for coin magic in general; the edges leave a lot to be desired. Scott. |
