I sell the india one and the other one and they are both about the same.
if you PM me I'll let you know what the other brand is. I can't remember off the top of my head.

I carry 2 and bought both just to check them out a couple months ago.
the 2 are: Uday Di Fatta The Di Fatta is a bit more expensive and a bit better. They're both ok. what do y'all do with the stiff rope. I use it as a short bit mostly to train the audience to clap.

You know, the old way of doing it with a piece of solder is pretty darn snazzy if you know how to work it. George Carl killed with it. I think I got the idea from Billy McComb's book "The first book of William". Nothing wrong with going "old school".

As far as I know the Indian ones can sometimes have a quality problem. I've been in India performing and bought some. If you have a chance it's always best to be able to check out each one. I bought a few at a cost of $2US each. Could have got them cheaper if I really pushed the guy, but he was running a shop and was quite a nice guy to boot.
TIP: Do not hold the rope too close to the end when it is stiff. The gimmick can quite easily snap and you end up with a piece at the end of the rope that just hangs down. All in all I've had a lot of fun with mine. All the best JoJo

Not sure the type of mine, but I use it in conjunction with my rabbit puppet routine, based on ideas published in MAGIC, Nov 2004 (Silly Billy's column).

This is a nice effect in conjunction with the Arthur Stead audio enhanced cd...Merlin the Magician.

Use mine for my Sun Conure Merlyn's "Indian Rope Trick". I show it as a regular rope, put Merlyn hanging on one end and then "Hyno" the Rope and bring it up Vertical with Merlyn at the Top hanging Sideways out from it. Very impressive with the right music. Finale is snapping my finger's and it going loose and him swinging down.

Flea on a tightrope is a funny bit with the stiff rope.
