I know of the Poltergeist, the Goodbye Vanish....Any others that are very "doeable"(with practice of course)? I think that this one of the ultimate street magic effects. Looking forward to some feedback!
God bless you guys, Carter<>< |

Thumb tip magic is common on the street and great for vanishes. I highly recommend Darwin's Encyclopedia as it teaches plenty of routines and effects with this gimmick.

I think productions MAY be better than a vanish. Giant coin, bottle production, a small parrot, bunny or oversized prop. They can handle the items too to show they're not gimmicked.

I think he is talking about vanishing himself. As the "good-bye" vanish is a self vanish.
There are not many clean self vanishes like that can be done on the street.
I've been training these cards since they were small.

Andrew Mayne's bi-section could work, if it is not windy. I wouldn't recommend it surrounded either, although there are ideas for a surrounded version.

While we're on the topic, how effective is the GoodBye Vanish? I remember reading about it a while ago, but it had a lot of mixed reviews, so I never bothered purchasing it. And for that matter, is it even still available?

I purchased the goodbye vanish and I think it is pathetic. Though the mehod is simple and some say simple is the best this method is just down right childish and it's sad that this is even called a magic trick. I would highly NOT recommend it.

Has anyone tried the poltergeist vanish(not the one part of the Goodbye)? Let me give you guys a vid of it. Chris Angel did it on his show. Pretty easy to identify the stooges but it is still a great effect(very hard to master though...). Let me give you guys the link...the poltergeist street vanish...
