This book is a limited edition of 250 and has material you might find interesting, and it's only $15.00!

Thank you very much ...... my hat's off to you ...... see it's already working
I'm wondering if the material in the "Magic Hat" is taken from the new Laurant, Eugene book. |

I have the Laurent book and the Magic Hat book - the Laurent book refers to his chapeaugraphy, but does not have the actual pictures and words that are in the Magic Hat book. So there is very little overlap.

Oh yeah ... only saw it once though.....when it was first released. I was in NYC at the time and saw it at the Zeigfield Theatre..... unbelievable place ..... any movie would be worth seeing there...

I really liked the Laurent book. It was well written and pretty entertaining.
The book also went a lot into how vaudeville worked, what the different circuits were, and how they were set up and organized. That was gold to me. I've read about the circuits a lot, but really had no idea how they actually functioned or what the difference was. So I ended up getting quite a lot out of the book. |

Just when you thought there was nothing new entering the limited field of Chaupaugraphy, young Eleazar Goodenough (author of "Tear-Able Magic" - on my site) has taken one of my old hat rings and transformed it into something else instead. I don't want to spill the beans before he is ready to publish, but his different and youthful ways of looking at old things may be ready to launch some new life into a very old art form. He's calling his new book "Hat Tricks" and will be releasing the chapters one by one on my site very soon. So what can we possibly learn from a nine-year old? One thing I have learned is not to underestimate him when it comes to bringing forth new tricks from old tricks.

The Lybrary.com CD and the chap-o are great resources

Here is a short YouTube video of comedy juggler Steve Russel performing chapeaugraphy:
