Hi,
does anyone know of anything other than the Stainless Steel Senior bankers clasp that can be used for the Bannon I/O holdout? I live in the UK and no-one sells bankers clasps here. I've contacted US office supply stores that have them (including Amazon) and they won't ship them to the UK. Any help would be appreciated Shanester |

I'm not sure what the Bannon I/O hold out is. However I'm familiar with Eugene Burger's hold out using a bankers clip. I would be happy to ship you a couple. they are cheap and plentiful here in the states. PM me and we can exchange info.

Is the Bannon holdout by John Bannon? Regardless, I'd be interested in knowing more about it. I have a few similar clips at my office; I'm not sure of the brand name of them offhand, but I spent a few months tracking down the right ones for my needs. If you're interested, I can check on them tomorrow and PM you the information.

I'm not sure if this is mentioned in Bannon's material, but wrap some thick tape (like electricians' tape or black cloth tape) around the area where the loading and retrieving are done -- it silences any little clicks.

Yes that's the type of clasp. However if you check the site you will see that they too don't ship outside the US.

I'd like to say thanks to Rich who has sent me a half dozen of these. He also refused any payment.
This is one of the things that makes the Café such an institution- Magicians helping Magicians I'm trying to work a way to do One is the Oneliest with a borrowed, signed UK coin, do a spellbound into a Kennedy Half (using the signature gag from the book), end the segment with a jumbo and then signed coin to tin as in the original routine. Will just take some blocking. Going to look to learn the original first before I start messing with it. I'll post the details when I sort it out (for all those who want to do this routine but don't want to work entirely in US currency) Thanks again Shanester |
