I saw it live in London. I'll comment on it in the PM you sent me.
This version is better than the previous ones I saw on YouTube. However, the presence of this on the net does allow certain things to be seen.

I love this version...and it only shows if you know what you're looking for.

This one still baffles me. I could have sworn the table had something to do with it...nope. Oh, well...I have other ideas, but I'd rather continue to be amazed by it.

Very clever routine. I just wish the tape quality was better.

Thanks for posting the link. I was fooled a few times with this one. I have a soft spot for these "patterless" presentations. I think it could be tightened up a little, as it felt a little slow in places. Still, a very enjoyable routine!

Yes, WoodRat, it is a lovely routine. I'd say the king of the 'patterless' routine has got to be J-P Vallarino. Marvellous stuff.

I clearly see why his C&B routine won him the World Grand Prix of Magic in two categories. After watching this clip so many times I've lost count, I still find it the most amazing Cups & Balls routine I've seen or read about.
Our friends don't have to agree with me about everything and some that I hold very dear don't have to agree about anything, except where we are going to meet them for dinner.

That was a really well constructed routine. He took advantage of the fact that you can see through the glass cups more than once, turning a "disadvantage" into an "advantage". This was really thinking outside the box. His use of misdirection was also excellent, the whole routine being a lesson in misdirection (or, more accurately, attention control). Very well done!

I love how they have take "old" tricks and updated them to fool people better than ever. That is a lesson I think we can all learn from.
