Anybody know where to buy a stack of bowls that are good for the production. The glass bowls I've seen for normal use worry me because of the possibility of breakage. I'm sure with modern materials there will be a fine plastic set of 4 on the market... but I can't find it, any ideas?

I had hoped t make up a set for sale but have not had the time to get it off the ground.
I hve a couple options. But do not be afraid of the glass bowls. If you pack them properly, you can trouple all over the world as Jack Gwynne did. The problem is the weight. Water weighs a lot. Unless you can pick up a stack weighing about 40-60# and make it look effortless, I would pass on this effect. Richard

Also consider producing the bowls one by one and stacking them up as they appear, a much more effective presentation. The finale would be to produce another complete stack from a floor model square circle-like production device, but the second stack could be permanently glued with artificial fish, and having just seen you produce the bowls one by one, the assumption would be that the stack was also filled with live fish.
I have used clear plastic round canisters from the Dollar store as fish bowls, but they only come in one size and aren't really great for stacking. They work fine if you just want to produce them separately and not try to pile them on top of one another. See a photo on my site under The Wizards' Journal #6 - "Appearing Goldfish" to get an idea of what they look like. Painted black, they also make nice witches' cauldrons.

In the 60's Davenports sold a harness that would release the bowls in ones, twos, threes, or fours, it was under your control, and apparantly the fellow who created it would wear 2, so he would produce 4 singles and then a complete stack of four. Personally I was thinking of using the V screen, but I also want to try it with the western style full length coat.
Thanks for the help, I guess now I'm off round pet shops to find some glass bowls, that stack! Paul |

An easy(?) alternative is a producing a stack of glasses with different colored liquid. Abbott's sold the set-up not too long ago...
