Are you looking to do a color change?

If so, there is a one handed color change in Jeff MeBrides World Class Manipulations Vol. 2 I believe. It is a very hard color change that will take a lot of pratice.

Hey Darkwing.I'm not looking for a colour change, but anything that will switch one ball for another and is one handed is just fine. The more references the better though. Thanks Darkwing!

Why not look at one handed switches for billets or cards etc and just adapt it to what you are trying to do. And even if you are not looking for a color change , the moves done to accomplish the color change should still serve the purpose. Since you are not looking for a color change I assume you are trying to switch a ball for a similar ball that is gimmicked in some way or that serves another purpose. The best ideas come by just picking up the two objects you are trying to switch and just brainstorm.
Good luck

I'm looking for a switch/change that is one handed and does not involve throwing, dropping,or transfering the ball to the other hand. The other hand will be busy.I've had ideas ,I just do not like them.

*The raw one handed options will be fairly limited to controlling the visible ball in the choosen hand. Options to consider in order to broaden your presentation could include: shell, topit, sleeve, pull, etc. Might want to ponder these utility items as invisible helpers to the one hand change.
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."

It can be done, there is a method where you are rolling one ball between your fingers, palm it as you begin rolling the second ball, because of the speed the slight visual discrepency isn't seen. It's on the McBride DVD's. It's the only method that I've seen that'll do what you need. Otherwise you're going to have to re-work your routine.

Eshdath,

I am not sure how long you have been doing magic or how well read you are , but there are lots of ways to do this switch. With as little info about it as you have giving it is hard to say exactly what will work. How are you holding the ball to be switched , do you want it to be completely open or can there be a split second of cover , what you are doing just before and what you do directly after the switch will all make a difference in the type of switch to use. Wether or not you end up with one ball immediately or if you switch and make a ditch of the other later on etc etc. You said you have had ideas and you just don't like them. Whats wrong with them. What are the weak points of them you are trying to avoid. Wether you like them or not , do they work to accomplish what you are tryin to do? It is something that can be as difficult or as easy as you want to make it. thereare just so many ways to switch things. It can be switched at the table you are using if you use one at all. servants , topits it is an endless answer. Send me an pm with a little more info and I think I can come up with something for you. Billiard balls have always been my strong point.
THOUGHTfully,
