When people talk about using dollar coins, what sort do they usually mean? There seem to be several sorts. I'm trying to find out the diameter, thickness and weight of the ones magicians normally use.

You may want to go here: http://www.coinfacts.com/ , rjenkins. Some of the "normal" dollar coins I would say most use would be Morgan, Peace, and possibly Eisenhower coins.
