Hi all,
I found a deck in my drawer that I obviously have not used before but purchased for some reason. I hate when that happens. Can you tell me what it is called and perhaps what the effect behind it is or where I can see it in use. Long Short Faces have no backs Backs have no faces Rough smooth I think that is how to describe it. Thanks in advance, Will//

Sounds like it could be a Mental Photography Deck . .
Do a quick search for it here. There should be plenty of references. |

Yep, it's a Mental Photography Deck. Check out Bill Malone's L&L tape, vol. 3 for his excellent handling/presentation inspired by Michael Skinner - can't be bad!

Oh and allow me to hazard a guess that the reason you bought it was that somebody demo'ed it for you in person and it floored you. These types of decks must simply FLY out of brick and mortar shops. It's in the 'Instant Miracle' category.

Is it poker sized or bridge size? I still have a couple of my original "TV MYSTERY CARDS" around here...

Poker sized and the roughing is terrible.
I loved the Bill Malone routine so much I may even go pick up a new deck. The old deck works well for gaffs I guess.

I don't own a Mental Photography deck, but I've been meaning to get one after reading David Regal's "Photo Finish" routine in his book "Close Up And Personal". Wonderful routine utilizing this deck.

I've been meaning to look for a good routine using the mental photography deck. Is the crowd in suggestion of Regal's "Photo Finish"? Would this effect mesh well with his "Sudden Deck"? Thanks for the help.

Doc,
Bill Malone's and David Regal's Routines are both excellent for this deck. I would favor Bill's but I think either would mesh with sudden deck. Charlie
