I am having trouble logging into the sam website using the id & password provided in MUM. Checked the spelling twice and used all small letters. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

George Schlinder (da Dean!!) posted on SAM Talk the following.
February 14, 2007 IMPORTANT MEMBER'S AREA PASSWORD INFO! The S.A.M. Website is about to make a transition to new servers.- When this happens, the USERNAME for the Member's Area will change. The PASSWORD will remain the same. Those of you who know the current username need only add 2007 to the end of the username, so it reads xxxx2007, for example, instead of the existing xxxx. Those of you who were unable to access the members area previously should find that you are able to access properly once the switch is made. The switch should happen between 2/14 at 8:00pm and 2/15 at 8:00pm. Soon thereafter... watch for a new, more modern site with a lot more features Hope this helps. Richard

Thanks. It really did. It was also in the homepage news, but I didn't see it, as I had to scroll down to find it. This is something that should have been put up top with big, bold letters to let members know what's going on.
Now this brings up another question, of course. Why did they need to switch servers?

Yep...works perfectly. Just add 2007 after the username and leave the password as is.
Mark, I'll bet you're right in that it was more of a cost issue than anything else. As for new servers, everything needs to be upgraded since the servers they were using before are probably dated by now. Just my thoughts. Mark. |

Thank you very much Mr. Hughes. I thought I would have had waited to my March issue of M.U.M. I tried on Saturday and then I looked in the Feb. 2007 issue of M.U.M. and saw what I entered.
