I am a cups and balls fan. I have made several chop cups out of reg cups. I recently found a nice silver cup that is probably more than 50 years old. My problem is how to hide the *^&%$*. I do have another cup that is brass. Any help with the method would be appriciated.
Thanks, Rannie

A false bottom comes to mind, but blending the seam could be tricky on the inside. Depending on the thickness, you might try putting it into the bottom and then covering it with aluminum tape or adhesive felt or cork.

Scrap gaffing the cup and use a ring

With the gaffed cup, you don't have to worry about the extra step of having the ring aligned.

CharlineC. Gaffing is what allows the magic to be performed. One example, the two headed coin.
While this site is useful in many aspects, all here strive to keep the secrets, but not out of selfishness. A lot of work and effort is put in by creators of magic effects to make a thing of beauty, and would be self defeating to give away details. However thru prudent study and respectful questioning, you can reap great knowledge. Keep on learning.... Mulee |
