Does anyone know if Jack sold his Engraved Medallion through his catalog and how many were made? How scarce are they?

I don't know numbers. Yes he sold it, but all of Jack's items are rare. His equipment was QUALITY, he didn't mass market.

Try to contact Richard Busch for it...because he and Paul Alberstat (Hope I spell it right) had the rights to market mr dean products
hope it helps |

After reading this, the effect seems accomplished thru an obvious method, if you have read the right mentalism books. ( no bashing meant by that in the least)
Is it his prop, or routining that makes this a "Classic"? |

For a collector that would be true, as the method is out there. I believe an improved version is going to be released by Mr Alberstat according to another thread, as he either had the rights or was working on it. Hopefully Paul can add some light, he is a member of the Café

What seperates Jack Dean's "Gold Medallion" from the other versions is that there is NO double writing, and NO moves to be seen between jotting down the numbers as provided by the audience members and showing the medallion. The version we are working on will be a much higher quality materials used and we are also trying to work out whether or not it will be removed from the pocket in a sealed case as in Jack's version or will be in full view at all times. Problem at the moment is the time required to have it all done, which is rather short at the moment.

I'm confused, now. Not all that rare an occurrence, I guess.
I used to do the Engraved Medallion about 15 or 16 years ago and I thought it was the Dean version. Paul, your description sounds like my experience (no double writing, no obvious moves) but I used to pull the box out of a paper bag that had been in full view all the time rather than from a pocket. Does that sound like another version to you? It's a very strong trick. Looking back, I'm not sure why I dropped it. Packs small, plays big, as they say. Maybe I'll dust it off. |

I had one of these I bought from Jack, himself, along with a "..And The Winner Is..", a "Jak O'Cards", "ParaJaks", and the greatest of all, "Predictation". Wish I'd kept the Gold Medallion! The method was very usable and clean!
