Very nicely done, rannie. I love it. We need a "poor man's" version, so we all can get in on the fun with this. Thanks for offering such a good effect. Another, nice and sweet effect from the mind of The Boss! Lotta good magic in Manilla...

Hey Rannie,
Thanks for sharing this video with us! It's very good, skill wise - your coin sleights are awesome. I found the routine a little hard to follow. The flow is interrupted -- we are shown your left hand empty for the first two coins, but not the third. I think it might confuse laypeople a bit. That's just my non-expert opinion, though! |

I like it.
things I might add or what not ... now when you vanished all the coins id show the hands empty differently I think its more convincing. id do maybe a jw grip, and pretend that your holding a coin, ala' McClintock. you might be able to do the necessary pass by acting like your plucking the imaginary coin from your other hand. I like to use things that make interesting actions that add theatrics |

Valid opinion Mike. Valid indeed.
I Pmed you the reasons why I do it this way. For the sake of our Café mates allow me to explain... I relied on trust on that one. Gaining trust..Notice that the speed picks up a bit. By the last time they pretty much know whats going to happen. More like...1st, "what tha"....!, 2nd whoa...."can't be?". ...and the last..."I was expecting that". I am aware that some may not. I try to use a bit of psychology on these matters. For the last, my "post" proof that the third coin is gone is when I do the Ramsey extention. I could show the left empty but..... I wanted to compensate more by having a more balanced look in the final Ramsey. Its still pretty much work in progress at this point. More experimentation with real people and time can only tell. Done live .... so far so good. Both laymen and coin men. Lets see. Thanks Mike. Oh another reason is that I had no more coins left to wave the left hand with...so I just blow on it!

I see what you mean but it seems acward and rushed and the ramseys seems to lose its convincing nature at that point.
its good, but I tend to be critical to push refined thinking |

I think the awkwardedness could have came from trying to keep everything in the camera frame - that happens from time to time when on camera. I'm sure that from the rest of the handling, the double ramsay subtely move would look pretty natural and symmetric.
really enjoyed the video and liked the 2 coin vanish thinking. Have you given a consideration to one handed vanish for the last coin? I'm thinking this as you use ouble ramsay subtely for the last vanish and I'm thinking that a one handed vanish and perhaps a little sleeving too may work to a good surprize when performming in front of those geeky magicians It may disrupt the flow but I'm confident that you can work it into the routine. Awesome work though I really enjoy seeing good magic videos on youtube. |

I'd like to see a version where the three coins vanish and that's it. GONE. And hands then shown empty.

Pete,
I can do that using something I got from JP... you know what it is. I might have to have it cut down a bit though. That is if I intend to do it this way with reg coins. I did try using other methods for complete vanishes using my s*&&^%% , T*&^t, and clips. The problem is I could not simulate a triple threat look. The choreography just wont do it. I wont stop either. WHY do it this way? Its just a problem solving excercise that I do. I love it because I am forced to discover possible moves and combination. You'll be the first to see it when I do the version you want. best! Rannie
