I just saw the demo for this. All I can say is that I'll be adding this to my show very soon. It looks awesome !
Judge:How do you plead?
Defendant:I plead insanity.
Judge:Insanity?
Defendant:Yep. I'm just crazy about that stuff!

I liked the bit with the flash ring, and real ring on the candle, but the rest of the performance, if I recall correctly, was just a bit much. Meaning a lot of contrived things in the routine.

Really needed to be simplified in its presentation.

Gdw, keep in mind that this is just a demo video of the effect in real time.

However during a real presentation of this effect in most situations I would imagine that the performer will not be doing a silent routine as we have done on our demo video. In our instruction booklet we suggest the performer to base their routine on the legend of the Phoenix which we give reference to.

This way you are not just demonstrating a trick (like I do for magicians) but instead you take them on a story telling ride and present them with a real routine(not just, "hey man you wanna see sumtin' cool, watch this!" type of thing) But that was just my perception of this particular routine when I worked on this project, other magicians will have different ideas, and thus our great art is born.

I personally feely with good patter, a routine doesn't get much more simple than this, and by using our Phoenix Legend outline as base for your routine, everything makes sense.

Not trying to dig for the method, but will I have to walk around my restaurant with my own plate and candle? Or just a candle? I have already ordered it for doing stage alone, just curious if its practical for table hopping.

You can use any plate. As long as it is a porcelin or cermaic dinner plate(or even a side dish, tea saucer, or a salad plate) with a gloss finish, the flash paper residue will wipe off with a wet cloth with no damage to the plate. You could even substitue the plate or candle holder with an ash tray or piece of foil. You can also use a second plate, or ash tray, foil, etc., for your candle holder, just heat the bottom of the candle with a lighter or match for a couple of seconds and stick it to the surface.

This could be the ring flight I've been waiting for, I certainly hope so. How would that new ignitor go with this?

Hello all:

I just wanted to chime in here on Peter’s latest creation. While Peter is a good and close friend of mine, I still want to give an unbiased opinion, as I feel anything less would be unfair to anyone else reading and for those of you who are thinking of purchasing this effect.

As with any of Peter’s tricks, Fire Flight is well thought out and is a fantastic idea. And as with most good magic tricks on the market, while the gimmicks/methods/props/etc. may be clever and of good quality, it is so much about the presentation and effect. Well, Peter has hit another homerun in both of these areas with this trick! He was kind enough to share the idea during its development and while I thought the trick was well done, it was the presentation that blew me away. I'm a big proponent of "it's not what you do but how you do it", and I think that you will really fool your audience with this, plus the routine will be awesome for them!

You should have charged more, Pete! lol

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,

Jason Palter

Now I will need to get a stage act going. I also think it may be a pain in the neck to carry these items with me(pocket space) for table hopping, but I really enjoyed this "effect". Excellent work. Maybe it could be used with Interlace lol!
I get to gaff some cool stuff for some cool people
