Josh is one of those guys that will and is creating a strong following. He thinks of ideas that are simple strong and impromptu mentalism. He is a rising star in the underground. I love his work and cant wait to witness what he will come up with next. Good job Josh. B2TF will be a very strong seller. It is simple, impromtu, easy, and with the right presentation, it has a very strong impact. He has the comedian style approach to mentalism, just walk up on stage with a pad of paper and a marker, and do strong mentalism for an hour. No gimicks, bags, briefcases with "stuff", just simple strong mentalism. Every magician and mentalist's dream act.

Thanks again Josh!
I think it is great! I love all time travel concepts (as a Tindalosiphile) - simple and clean... as Paolo says, I think you can toss in some psychological convincers... plus I'll PM you some other thoughts!

It IS a great plot... and the method is "simple and direct"... it is impromptu and it will play strong... What more can you ask for ?
Josh was educated in the Karmilovich school of mentalism and that means something... |

Thanks again for sending me this, I absolutely love it. This morning ive been going over the document and thinking about this, and it really is fantastic. The method is so simple yet brilliant, and it gives you the means for a very powerful performance. I love the idea of the routine, its such a powerful and unique presentaion. That, with how simple and easy the methodology is, the fact its impromptu and the effect as a whole, means for me, its one of the greatest effects so far. Back to the Future was something I was really looking forward to, and it delivers.
If someone overlooks this because of how simple and easy the method is, and they can't see the power in the presentaion and routine as a whole, then its there lose. You've come up with what has to be one of the best, and freshest effects period. Thanks. |

"Back to the Future" was one of 3 routines I performed at an after dinner party party last night. It was incredibly strong.
I have to admit, I felt a bit guilty . . . there was that point when I realized, "I'm home free." The work passed by unnoticed, which to me, is just hilarious. The reactions were fantastic. This was #2 in my line-up, and caused such a commotion, that I had the restaurant managers and wait staff (incredible, BTW) all there for my closer. The woman I worked with loved it, as did everyone else. She just stared at me, and then turned to her business partner and said, "I want to know everything about him." I was hired to dine and entertain their guests and associates from out of town. "Back to the Future" was very entertaining, indeed. This brief set was for a large tax company. I wanted to land their business events, parties and gatherings . . . MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. These people are throwing a large party right after tax season ends. They wrote my deposit check on the spot. A strong presentation seals the deal with this routine. ANYBODY on this forum could do this routine. To be fair, my original conclusion was PW and a BS. Yeah right. This is so easy a 10 year old could do it, BUT it will take experience to sell it correctly. I will keep and use this routine. Regards, Jerome.

Before Josh, sent his idea/presentation.
He let me know that it that it was nothing ground breaking and that it was childishly simple. I replied that I like such things and that he purchased one of my regular use presentations that is truly nothing if you were going on only method. Personally I do not share his opinion about this not being ground breaking. Often the presentation is ground breaking but is not considered the method because it hides in plain site. Of course many of you know this is the type of thing that moves me and I am very pleased to see a shift taking place in our community. A movement toward presentation being part of the method and those performance pieces being accepted. Notice I did not say tricks or effects because they are not that. I see this and the things I do as art for they transcend the world of tricks and plunge the participants into the reality the performer has chosen to create. They don’t stay long but they know they have been somewhere they have never been before. Well I have said my piece sorry for the length. Really cool presentation/method. Thanks and Best Wishes, Jim
