You are right in that I was jetlagged as I only arrived from the UK the night before. I was also pretty stressed as UPS failed to deliver a box containing my lecture, my act and my products! I spent all of Friday morning and afternoon up until the lecture trying to piece things together so I could do the lecture. As it happened, with the help of a number of people I was able to do the lecture I wanted but not with the preparation I am used to having! As for the British humour......... there's nothing I can do about that I agree with you about Johnny Thompson. What an amazing performer. His dove production from cellophane is a thing of true beauty. Regards, Jon

Jon Im sure lots of people loved your british humour! Maybe I just don't like it because my girlfriend makes me watch all those Hugh Grant movies! Your thought of card to mouth effect was great Ive spent a lot of time thinkin about that one, aswell as your torn and restored rubberband around the wrist trick. On Friday nite I was sitting a few rows behind you and Helder and spent more time watchin the 2 of you finger fling cards back and forth than I did paying attention to my girlfriend!!! I really think your a great entertainer(but no Derren Brown!!) just kidding and hope to see you back next year. American humour its only funny on this side of the pond!

Hi Pauly,
If you spent more time watching me and Helder than your g/f something is seriously wrong! ;-) Mind you if she make syou watch Hugh Grant films you do have a point. There is a chance I will be back next year. If so, I will see you then and we can discuss the merits of Eddie Izzard over Robin Williams. Jon

In response to J.Robert's question (contact info for Helder, posted on the forum in case anyone else needs to contact him):
You can e-mail Helder at info@helderguimaraes.com Calling him would be harder as you'd need country codes, but you can find his phone number at http://www.helderguimaraes.com His lecture notes are worth every penny, and make sure you get the notes with the DB Ace of Diamonds/Ace of Clubs. Sorry for bringing this dead thread back to life, I just didn't want to send J. a PM only to find out a year later that someone else needed the info too. Best of luck to everyone and their magic, ~Magically Dave |
