I don't see how it's hard to just do it.
You set up a bottle and then o the handling for Cap Trap. Given that this set up is MUCH quicker than most other flat caps, you can, as she mentioned, set it up at a bar, even just under the table, which I have done with the other flat caps, but this is far quicker and easier.

I am surprised nobody mentioned Randi's latest addition, "Jigger Not".
One more fantastic "PK Ring Effect" from the mind of Randi. This would probably get more play time than the traditional Cups and Balls. Being that it could possibly be performed as an impromptu setting. I frequent quite a few homes that have bars in the basements, so I see myself performing this effect with the olive, as Randi suggests. You could not make this look more impromptu, than borrowing the Jigger and the Olives. Great ideas Randi, keep them coming. Phil |

Some think Houdini used trap doors in his act, but he was just going through a stage.

Marc PS. Randi, I love the new videos...although your first videos are good, these blow them away! Excellent production and awesome camera angles! Great Job! Oh and the teacher looks good too! |

Didn't Mark Jenest release an effect similar called Jiggernaught?
Any who, I liked it. In particular the penetration. Thanks Glenn

I got the bill trick yesterday and love it! I am just a beginner, so always wary of tricks that will either be too complex (the ones where the instructions say, "then just move from a french drop to a muscle pass etc." Not that I don't want to learn, but I need things spelled out and not too many hard moves in a row) or not stunning enough. My big 3 have been STS, WOW and Prohibition. Randi's bill trick gives me 4
Not sure if this will help others, and maybe you senior magicians don't need this, but here is how I have been using it. First I am always worried to say "Let me show you a magic trick" since then people start to really scrutinnize you, which is tough on a beginner who still screws up occasionally. Also, I found it awkward to get the bill and hold it correctly in a casual situation -- I mean, why hold the bill like that? So, for me, I tell people I learned a cool new origami trick. I ask them if they have a dollar. They take theirs and then I have them fold theirs as I am folding mine step-by-step. This seems more natural and makes them focus on something other than me. I then have them pass the bill behing their hand just like I do as the final step. I get two great reactions -- some people see the change immediately and smile; others do not seem to clue in until we have completely unfolded our respective bills only then do they see the difference and I get an even bigger reaction. Hope that makes sense - -hard to type in detail and yet perserve what Randi is selling which is easily worth $3. Thanks again, Randii. |

Didn't Mark Jenest release an effect similar called Jiggernaught? Yes he did. My version is a PK ring effect of that trick. This is why I called it "Jigger, Not!". Meaning, it's different from his trick. And Bande... I like your idea. That is a good way to do it. Randi |

For any Cap/ Coin in Bottle effect that I have known, one is never clean form the beginning till the end of the effect. Yes, after the effect is over all looks to be clean.
However, IMHO, Prohibition is the only effect where the Bottle & the Cap can be shown clean at the start of the effect - a very well thought-out effect & presentation which is based on solid logic. Just a humble opinion!

Prohibition is clean enough where you can hand the bottle out RIGHT AFTER the penetration for the spectator to examine and keep it.... doesn't get any better than that...

Magicswan,
YES! everything can be borrowed, the bottle, the caps... EVERYTHING no gimmicked caps, no gimmicked bottle, that's the great thing about prohibition.... if I know I'm going to a bar or party of some sort (where bottles will be around), I know that's a night I will be performing prohibition... (unless only cans are around...thats when I perform sinful!:D) but the answer you are looking for is YES! everything can be borrowed... http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109 -pugsta

Sorry, had to jump offline for a second and didn't mean to seem off topic in my previous post. Too late to edit so as to finish as I intended so...
When is the dvd going to be made available? I'm not a fan of downloading and like that you're going to be offering a dvd. M&S |

Yes... there will be one more for download to come.
Then I will put them all on a DVD. And the DVD will include some other effects not for download. Randi |
