Trekdad, love your reference to The Day the Earth Stood Still. A great SciFi classic from the 50's along with Forbidden Planet.

Funny you should mention The Day The Earth Stood Still. I just recently watched it for the first time.
They are apparently doing a re-make for release in the summer of 2008.
