I'm not sure if my clock is right. What time is it?

Thanks, in advance!

A man with one watch knows what time it is.
A man with two is never really sure...

Back to the subject. I know what time it is when I submit, by the time stamp. But with out knowing the lag time between when I hit enter and when I can see it on screen, how can I calculate the actual time. Without a stop watch, how can I time my calculation time, if I do find the lag time and wish to do the calculation? If I were then going to set my clock, is there some kind of equation to factor in the time it takes? Wouldn't different times take longer to input? With out knowing the actual time how could I figure this in to the calculation?

You are in the wrong section. I think Nir Dahan, ThomasB, or Stan Alger should field that one.

This ain't the section for your fancy ciphering.

That's exactly what I was thinking. LOL!

They could do it!

But I'm just trying to figure out the time. Who'd think it'd be so involved?

Maybe when I figure it out, I'll post it on a web site or something. Then we'd all know what time it was.

There is no time. If a man falls and hits his head in the woods, is it 5:30?

Who cares. It was THEN. NOW his head hurts. Tomorrow it will feel better.

Then, Now and Tomorrow is good enough.

Go away.

I'll try that one on my boss, next time I'm late.

Time to get one of those self setting (atomic tune-in) alarm clocks.

I believe you can also buy synced watches.

Speaking of 'movements'...I think it is time for one that shows mankind for what it is. Putting parameters and segments and little notches on something as unalterable as the rising and setting of the Sun. A Cricket needs no watch...nor does the Owl...nor have I for the past few days. Clocks led to global divisions and knowing exactly when the tide would rise or fall...something the sand piper knows when it gets its feet wet. Thus it is wrong and will lead to mass insanity when the earth shifts. It's all our fault. Let us be shameful and spend money to research what happens when a watch stops.
