Scandinavian humor? You don't have to be funny when you're that good looking!

I was thinking back on some of my favorite British tv shows and remembered the following:

1. Leo McKern of Rumpole of the Bailey: "She who must be obeyed!"

2. Tom Baker as The Doctor (Who?): "Care for a jelly baby?"

3. Patrick McGoohan in The Prisoner: "I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered! I am a free man!!!"

Rumpole of The Bailey - I had forgotten that - It was brilliant.

Leo McKern was one of our greatest Australian exports.

Can you imagine someone with a glass eye making a successful career in acting now?

The only two I know of were Leo McKern and Peter Falk of Columbo fame. I know that McKern, in addition to being in Rumpole, also did No. 2 in The Prisoner. Patrick Mcgoohan came to America and became good friends with Peter Falk! Who said that fate is a funny thing?

Didn't Debbie Reynolds lose an eye to cancer?

I don't know much about Debbie Reynolds but I saw her in 'The Making of' Connie and Carla entertaining the cast and crew in a break and she is one hell of a live performer.

Leo McKern also appeared in The Blue Lagoon with Brooke Shields and whoever the guy was. Everyone has to make a dollar I suppose.
