As seen in Hank Lee's hot list :

Signature Sketch Pad Card Rise: Martin Lewis' Signature Sketchpad Card Rise is finally available!

The effect is used by Johnny Thompson, David Copperfield, Whit Haydn, Michael Weber and professional magicians worldwide. This is Martin's classic effect in which a card rises from a drawing and is then handed out as a souvenir. This signature version is designed and made by Martin's Magikraft Studios. It's better, faster, and far mores durable than any other version ever. It includes DVD instruction on care, handling, and performance. Plus, insights gained by 30 years of performing experience.
It features a hard wearing laminated cover and an extra heavyweight backboard. The oversize spiral makes the action fast and easy and the new plastic gimmick will never warp. A redesigned template makes drawing the picture faster. Plus lots more improvements that come from those many years of real world performance. $175.00

.. has anyone seen this new version?

I haven't seen the new version, but I am sure interested in the differences between it, and the origional that he teaches you to make in his Making Magic DVD series.

I just wish Martin would make these larger. I've always made my own using large sketch pads.

I agree....I made my own from his video instructions, and the larger
size is what I recommend....

Martin's instruction is excellent - you can't go wrong with making it yourself. I use the same size sketch pads that he recommends. However, I'd be interested to see the upgrade he made to the new version. Anyone has it yet?

Perhaps Paul Gross from Hocus Pocus can help us out.

I also made mine (left hand version) from Martin's instructional video. Large pad works for me. All supplies available at Office supply stores. I am interested in the upgrades.

I just ordered one from Madhatter. Can't be the price! I surfed around the net and it was the cheapest by far. What I especially like is that it fits into the 'packs flat, plays big' category. I'm in the process of putting together a 'lite' act that fits in a small suitcase. Hopefully this will be a nice addition.
Yours In Magic,
Gordon

You should get it from Madhatter. If it wasn't for them there would not be a price to match Smile

I ordered the Signature version from Madhatter, and so far I am satisfied with their service. The next day they sent me two e-mails alerting me of the status of my order.

**Dealers take note:We as purchaser's appreciate good service, and that includes being informed about order status.
Personally,I will no longer return to companies that take my money and leave me in the dark as to when I can expect my product.
Give me a good competitive price;Keep me informed of the status of order; And deliver as promised, and YOU WILL HAVE A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.

Looking around the Café,I see threads all the time referencing companies who have lousy customer service.
It is up to us who spend our hard earned dollars to let them know we are going elsewhere if they continue their sub standard service.

Sorry about getting off topic, but that was something I had to get off my chest.

I've contacted Madhatter because I'm buying this effect.
I wrote to Bill and he said to me that "Madhatter will BEAT the final
price on ANY product".
I'm very impressed for their customer service, they really take care of the
customers.
Ask for Bill for perfect service.

Does the new version teaches you how to make it as well like the old one?

Thanks a bunch in advance.

These are very nice, very much improved over the old version. I think you will be happy with the improvements Martin has made.
Thanks to all of you for the kind words about us.
