I've done it in living rooms for small groups and it was a big success.

It is even a little cheaper on Penguin.

"Thus,I must buy the refills.
However,I was pleased to find out that $20.00 will buy me enough for 12 performances.I can live with that."

Umm yeah so could I. Especially considering the fact that based on even the lowest performance fees you would bring in about $1800-$2400. I would not worry too much about $20 once I had the effect down. Would be nice to have about 20 practice sheets at first though. I am also wondering how the other one compares?

Is the new version an 11 x 14 pad?

If you scroll down "New Arrivals" at http://www.mrwiztrunkofmagic.com/ you can see it for $120 and the Birthday insert is also cheaper than elsewhere. Javier offers great service and will get items for you, although he has little stock on hand and it does take about an additional week for them to arrive.

We don't have Staples here. We have Office Max and Depot.

Staples offer free shipping sometimes.

Does anyone have the ACTUAL catalog number of the sketch pad that will
work for the new version card rise?

If so we all would like to know what it is!

Thanks,

Nez

Actually, it's possible to make the refills. Regarding the alightment of the holes for the spiral blinder...i cut out a drawing paper which is of the same size as the drawing pad. As for the holes, I use a pencil and made two holes at the extreme end, i.e. left and right corner, as for the middle at the top, I will cut it out, so it looks like a 'valley' at the top of the sheet. By doing so, it will reduce the alightment problem which may prevent the gimmick from operating smoothly. I hope it helps.

My number one question on this and I might be dumb. Do you have to force a card when the spectator picks one or do they have a free choice and you cand "RISE" any card? Seems to me there has to be a force of one of a couple of cards. Is that right?

Yes there is a force at work, but the force flies by if you put the time to learn it and get the timing down needed for it.

I actually use a o**-**y deck, with the wrong card (Ace Of Clubs) on the bottom. Lots of fast shuffles, etc. Never fails (of course), and looks incredibly clean.

However, when I do this, it's the second card effect in the set, the first of which introduced a 'regular deck' that was shown freely. This eliminates the need to 'prove anything' the second time around with what appears to be the same deck.

Hi I have been using a made up version of this for a few years now, and I am looking to get the signature edition, can someone tell me if there has been more than one version of the signature edition, ie do all the versions have the plastic card that r***s or are some of them made of card. I have read that the latest version has some improvements and want to make sure I get this version.
Is there any other way to tell the different verions apart.
Thanks for your help.

They are the all same plastic (with paper coating) card.
