I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of a magician on my shoulder and searched for b/w pics. I like this picture http://img505.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ukok5.jpg I don't know who this is. Don't be afraid I won't getting a tattoo of someone I don't know, but he looks so charismatic and I'm keen on finding out more about him.

I concur..David Berglas.
Bill you better explain what a Theremin is. I once saw a guy who played all these unsual instruments, saw blades on marble, theremin, cow bells, bottles. Of course, it was at a circus fan convention. Far too sophisticated for magicians. Richard

The Theremin, which was named after its inventor, Léon Theremin, is an electronic musical instrument that produces a tone that is the beat frequency of two oscillators. The oscillators are controlled by the position of the player's hands near two antennae. One antenna controls the pitch, the other controls the volume.
It has a spooky kind of sound. The sound is heard in a lot of sci-fi movies, such as The Day the Earth Stood Still. In fact, it has the distinction of being one of the only electronic instruments Bernard Hermann ever used in a movie sound track. The sound is usually a glissando kind of effect, with lots of slides and swoops. However, there was a wonderful thereminist named Clara Rockmore who toured with the instrument and played very beautiful music. It's the instrument that goes ooo EEEEE ooo when something spooky happens in a sci-fi movie.

Sorry I am EXTREMELY late, but that was NOT a Theremin. It was a Tannerin ( see http://www.tompolk.com/Tannerin/Tannerin.html )
Your choices in life can be compared to watching a magic trick: You can continue to believe the illusion in front of you, find the intrigue and desire to learn more, or quit paying attention the moment you feel deceived.
