Jawbreakers has a lot of self-working card effects and tons of other stuff that's ALL very simple to perform. I actually got my set for free with a shop purchase and got the bonus Svengali deck and DVD, too. I liked ALL of the DVD's and it's very good for beginners.

As a dealer, the Jawdroppers is a very popular set. We have sold many and those that have commented on them have been very happy. The set gives a great value for the money.

I would actually look at them as supplemental to the Mark Wilson book. Several people have noted that just about all of the Jawdroppers effects are in Wilson. However, sometimes seeing a performance of the effect makes a huge difference in understanding how it will work for an audience. Especially when you are new.
The staged dinner party is a little cheesy, but the point is to have an audience there. You have to decide for yourself if the trick will be worth your time to learn. I found a couple that I had ignored in Wilson's book that I liked when I saw performed. The zombie spoon is a good example. I thought it looked stupid when I read the description, but the DVD presentation made it look like a fun stunt. -Patrick |

I would highly recommend them. Larry is a great teacher and while most of the tricks he teaches aren't all that difficult, a lot of them do pack a powerful punch. I still use several of them in my acts today. And for the money, you're not going to beat them. Excellent and ideal for a beginner, but still good for intermediates as well.
