I'd just like to add my thoughts on this DVD. I read evryones reviews on this DVD and wasn't sure if it would be good or a dud. I recieved it this morning and have just watched it and I think it is definately 'good'.
The little tricks and 'gags' are short and to to the point, so if you are looking for long routines then this wont interest you. If however, you like doing little impromptu tricks whilst your out then this is absolutely ideal. I especially enjoyed the hat trick, oil and water and the bottle vanish.

A very highly entertaining DVD

I thought it was good. I enjoyed watching a lot of the stuff. The coin vanishes and his Quick-O-Chink I loved. He had some stuff on there that I didn't care for, but this was a mostly good DVD. As Kainoa said, this is for visual-quickies not routines.

Hi,
First of all, Charlie's magic has this DVD for $20.

I love this DVD. Just a bunch of quick tricks, but some really good stuff to throw in.

I love impromptu Princess.

I think this DVD is really worth the money.
Cheers,
James

VISU-ANTICS was my first introduction to Jim Pace's magic. I was greatly impressed. I've been in magic almost 40 years, worked bars nite clubs, banquets corporate shows, and a zillion kid-shows. I've seen the worst and the best. It takes alot of creativity to impress me. This video not only impressed me, it entertained me.
I guarantee you that you need brass b---s to do some of the effects or visual bits demonstrated, but they really work! More importantly, they fool the heck out of people.
The Appearing Bottle trick with the scarf at the beginning was worth the price of the tape. We use it in our show now. After we vanish the Neilson ketchup bottle in a paper bag, (ala Marotta), the ketchup bottle reappears from the scarf...and it's REAL! It literally brings an audible gasp and applause.
There are many things on this tape that are just begging for you to work them out in your own way. This is the best kind of magic instruction tape, it motivates you to think! I respect the individuals that disagree, and don't like the tape. I wonder though, what their idea of a good lecture video is? I also question what their contribution to magic is?
One more word worth mentioning, I liked Jim's personality and layed back humor. He has the type personality that people enjoy and invite to their table or home.
I've never had the pleasure of meeting Mr, Pace, but it indeed would be just that, a pleasure.

pyro_magic as usual critiques without giving something a chance.

The DVD is well produced and has some eye candy effects. I like it and am keeping it.
