Wizardofsorts,
Awwwwwwwwww cute. But with that hat, he looks more like a "Hairy" Anderson.

If we are gonna go there, let me be the first to suggest "Hairy Houdini" just to beat everyone to the punch.
I was also thinking that dogs tend to bark and yip, so "De Yip Loo" is a good name, also. I also think a good name would be "Wondermutt - the most magical dog in the entire universe," though it may be a bit long to fit on a dog tag. We used to have 2 cats that were called Fido and Spike (though we spelled them Phydeaux and Spyque), and our dog was named Tabbykins. We got strange looks at the vet, but I get strange looks everywhere I go, so I am used to it.

I would like to contribute "the Amazing Jonathan".
Then you would hear on the other end of the phone conversation "geez, I gotta let you go.. The amazing jonathan just crapped on the rug again." Then again, that doesn't sound unique. Or strange. Maybe if the coversation was "gotta let you go, the Amazing Jonathan is humping the cat". dang, again not something I haven't heard before. But maybe the dog could actually do real tricks. Now THAT might be something. (all in gest, I cannot think of a better sense of humor than Vegas boy) |

More great suggestions. We now have our little pup, and after a long chat with my other half we decided to go with Merlin (she's not too keen on the Mike Doogan idea).
Thanks to all who contributed, had a good chuckle!! Mark

Of course you picked Merlin. When I suggested it, I put asterisks around it. My wife and I are expecting a baby in May. When I learn it's gender, you can return the favor.
We'll all know Merlin is short for Mike Doogan.

Merlin is perfect as it is a magic name and also being in the UK it has the King Arthur angle working for it. Congrats on the pup.

Here's a few good names to consider (other people have, so why not you?!)...
Consider...Josh, Bill, Marvello, Lyndel,Wizard,Cjessman, Jonathan --you get the idea...! I can't keep raking my brain for you, try to be creative (like me!) lol Jonathan PS: so... have you neamed your dog yet? If so, what? Now there's a name that will generate a great response... "What"! Name your dog "Wat", I don't know, I just thought I'd ask you... Well I just thought I'd tell you... What? That's right, What... I don't know, that's why I', asking you... yada, yada....

My sincere apologies for the typos in my previous post.
I try to use spell check as a rule, but was rushing out the door on this one. Jlevey
