Dear All -
On Ebay.com I have noticed that there is an abundance of replica rings from the LOTR film. Some even come with a replica chain to the one worn by Frodo. I was thinking of the possibilities available with the two, a kind of "ring and string" routine but with a chain instead, the possibilities for patter are infinite. Does anyone have any good references to magic books/DVDs/vids that are for rings? Would really appreciate any leads. Thanks, ![]() |

There's a couple of Ring and String videos out there. Look into Gregory Wilson's "Ring Leader" video. I would suggest using a leather string though. The chain will be too noisy when you strip it out of the ring during the routine.

You have ABSOLUTELY got to read Peter Marucci's handling of 'the one ring' at http://www.online-visions.com/bizarre/0303peter.html. It's a guaranteed groaner and a great way to dust off any transposition device you have. I bought a cheapo plastic coin slide switch box, painted it black, then flocked it and it looks OLD.
Also, check Barnes and Noble for these rings, they sell as an attachment to bookmarks and our local shop is closing them out. A word of warning- if you try to age the ring with heat like you would a haunted key the metal underneath the gold plate melts real quick. What you can end up with is a new looking lump. |
