Hi guys,
I've just purchased Bang On (by Marc Oberon), and I would like to know the differences between this trick and Kolossal Killer (because KK is cheaper but seems to be the same effect). Maybe it was a mistake to purchase Bang On ? Thanks ! |

There both great!
In KK sometimes you are not 'Bang on' but when you are not you are very close. I remember seeing Paul Daniels on English t.v. over 10 years ago get a great response when he slowly turned the card around to reveal that he was 'Off by One!

Hum, ok, so Bang On is slightly better than KK ?
20$ for KK vs 130$ for Bang On, there's a huge difference of prices, but maybe it's the price we have to pay in order to have a *perfect* match *every* time |

Ok... I have both and the reactions that Bang On gets are much better... on whole. Sometimes, I get great reactions from the "One Off".
I do have to admit, I now carry Bang On, instead of KK and plan to keep that with me as an "impromptu" trick. |

There are pros and cons to both - KK can be done with an everyday normal wallet that you carry around all the time. Some people are uncomfortable with the "Off" premise, however if you read the routine properly and understand it you will see it is actually a stronger finish than being "Bang On".
That being said, being "Bang On" isn't to be scoffed at - I've not seen it myself but heard it's pretty good. I really couldn't see myself carrying the set-up with me at all times but I'd considet it for formal work. Best, David. |

They're both good effects. For the budget minded, consider performing instead the Ultramental Deck (Invisible Deck) and switching the deck at the end.

Instead, get a himber wallet and The Best of John Mendoza DVD set for a great routine using only one wallet which is on the table the entire time. You do need a deck of cards as opposed to Bang On which uses a thought of card. However, if done properly, the selection of the card from a deck of cards in John Mendoza's himber wallet routine seems more of a free choice than if a spectator thinks of card which may be thought of as a psychological force ie. women always think of the Queens of Hearts. In addition, with Bang On, there is a possibility that the wrong card can be shown and here is the problem of fumbling around to get the proper card wheras Mendoza's himber walelt is more direct without fumbling. I personally think John Mendoza's routine is better than Bang On and Nemo 1500 for these reasons.

You're the first person I heard who says that we can show the wrong card :-/ If we do it well, we can't show the wrong card, except if we want it, can't we ? |

If one effect is too expensive and the other not specific enough, maybe you should look into 'the 52 on 1 miracle' also in this forum. I saw the demo and it looks terrific. And that for $30 or so.

Up !
Since someone spoke about "52 on 1 Miracle", my question is now what are the differences between this trick and Bang on (yeah, the price, I know that, but what else )? |

Lots of differences. 52 on 1 doesn't use a normal deck. You don't have a wallet. Envelope construction is totally different. For the money it is a great trick. But very different from Bang On.

May be with bang on we must insist on the fact that it's IMPOSSIBLE to have 52 wallets, so the thing is more unbelievable, but (Sorry for being devil's advocate), for a lay man the effect of 52 on 1 miracle is strong enough, and sounds impossible too. Is Bang On only a trick for impress magicians after all ? Well, my Bang On should be in my mailbox this afternoon, so maybe I will post another review for bang on soon ;-) I will probably have first to change the envelops which seems to be too large (as some people already said in another topic), to pratice a few hours, and improve my english in order to have a decent review ^^ |

On video, a card is returned in the envelope and is not given to a spectator. May a performer hand the card to the spectator?

Sly--What is it that you like better about Nemo than Bang On?

NEMO 1500 IS MORE THAN GREAT. KK is terrific too, you should see what Seabrooke gets out of it.
