Hey everyone, I have a routine worked out for multiplying balls which leaves me with 4 balls between my 5 fingers. I'm not sure what to do at this point though. Do I just end the routine and throw the balls away? Is there any other options? Ideas? where to look?
any good finale's? Also to note, I have two sets but only use one set for the routine, perhaps an ending that requires another ball or another set or shell or something would be fine as well.

thanks.

What about an 8 ball climax?
Making them all dissapaear (one by one, or all at once)
Or drop them into your top hat etc. and end it there.

Mark Wilson's Book of Magic has a fantastic routine with 4 balls. He does not stop there at all.

I did the John Booth routine with the Cannonball finish. You have a top hat open side up on your table, you finish your production sequence then drop the balls into the hat... a flash of flame (flash paper) pick up the hat, turn it over and out drops a HUGE ball. Abbott's sold the perfect ball... a golf ball with a spring door. Altho you can use ANY big hollow ball.

LINKS? NO. But if you are a serious student of great magic get "Marvels of Mystery" by John Booth. For years almost everything in my act came from there.

Today Glenn Farrington at the Castle swap meed had the 8 ball finish for the Ireland golf balls for sale very reasonably priced. Contact him at either http://www.glennfarrington.com or prettyamazinig.com

You could do the "In and Out" move from Tim Wrights Video...

It's worth checking out...

The way I did it was to make the four balls appear, then all disappear, then an instant climax with 8 balls appearing at once.

It was a little hard to manage, but it looked great if you pulled it off.

An 8 ball climax is nice, or making them disappear.

In my routine I make them disappear one at a time since I don't have 8 balls for a climax.

I like the cannon ball finish though, I might have to look into that myself. If you learn it, you might want to think about using it..=D

After having produced the 4 balls, you can try the following ideas as your finale ...

* (as Pete mentioned) drop balls into top hat or container then appear a jumbo ball.
* drop the balls one at a time into a top hat/container and the final one changes into a cane.
* produce the other 4 balls (hinged or flash method).
* use a hanky to vanish the balls and produce something else (bigger in size) from the hanky.
* vanish the balls one at a time and transform the last one into a cane or silk or anything.

Hope this helps.

As usual, great ideas James!

I may re-think some of mine routine....

I am working on a routine for a birthday party, so having the balls turn into something bigger will work great. It's a family members birthday, so I'll probably use a gift for them. =>

Lets keep some great ideas coming!

Shalom, I have always liked to turn one ball into something else, one vanish, one to turn into a previously vanished item, and one to snow storm. The appearance of the previously vanished item is a running gag in the act.The idea is to do something different with each ball that will leave you with no balls.

Here's another idea.

You can appear a white ball, then change it into a white silk and from there appears a red ball. Color change the red ball and then transform the ball to become a cane. Stroke the cane and another color ball appears and then multiply them to become 4 balls. Place them into a hanky and they vanish altogether and then using the hanky cover the right hand for a second or two and the hand is not holding 4 balls again but each ball is a different color. Drop them into a top hat, shake it and pour the balls out and instead of the 4 balls - 30 - 50 mini balls of different colors appear.

Just an idea you can toy around.

Drop three of the balls into a conainer, leaving you with one ball and change that for anything you like. A silk, confetti, a colour change. It also depends on what you plan to do after the ball routine, you can incorporate something so that you can keep the act flowing, and the audience are still wondering what happened to the last ball,

You could have a hollow cake in something and the balls change into the cake.

Yes, the big ball finale, as Pete mentioned is still a good finale for balls routine.
