I was working on the new Dark Museum Ripper sets and had some of the props out on the patio on a big table...there were 5 sets with fingers, toes, ears and eyeballs.
So I'm at my work bench inside (which looks out on the patio) and along comes a thief out of thin air! The SOB grabs one of the Eyeballs and hauls ass!

It was a BIG Raven.


This is getting to be a challenge...couple of weeks ago on my B-day at Sea World I was feeding the Sea Lions with some Smelt and while holding one up a Sea Gull does a perfect roll in mid air and neatly snatches the fish from my fingers. I thought that was pretty cool.

But when they start absconding with the art works I can only say...this means war!

I'm sitting here laughing, and I should know better.

Funny you should say that. This morning I awoke to glorious sunshine. I put my Speedos on and relaxed in my garden with a raspberry ripple ice cream cone. At first it tasted kinda nice. I was then distracted momentarily and when I looked back at my ice cream I found...

"Nevermore."

Fight back . . .

I found it...in the parking area. Washed it off of bird cooties and it's as good as old.

careful, their Ravens. he's lucky it was a fake eye instead of his real eye. I had an experience similar to that, one of our old cats, shortly before the cat became pregnant with her first litter she would steal our stuff and hide it! It wasn't until after the kittens were born that we watched as one of the kittens began to crawl under the couch, I peered under the couch and I found all of our stolen stuff!

Pack cat OR maybe she was part Bird...building a nest...Was the couch a cat Bird seat?

Can I special order a set of props to be pecked by birds, etc? Sounds as if you should charge a bit more for that set...

I'm keeping it. That was a special moment.

Not hardly. Did remind me of the scene on POTC (one of the two) where the Monkey grabs the guys wooden Eye. Fortunately Raven's have better sense than to go after wood...as witnessed by the opening scene in POTC 2. They just love them juicy little globes.

Having owned a GIGANTIC Pet Raven (African Raven) they are REALLY smart and alert for any opportunity...extremely curious and very bold. Proud decendents of their Dinosaur ancestors and carrying the banner well.

Doug, yesterday I was at Barry's Magic shop and Joe, the counterman, was showing me a whole bag of incredible body parts Barry picked up from a company that makes medical prosthetics, basically seconds and spares they sold him at wholesale. This stuff was incredible! I am considering making him an offer for the whole bag!

Competition I struggle to ignore especially when the rent is due.
